Iter Goritiense Aquileia – Sveta Gora
A new, approximately 82 km long cross-border pilgrimage route connecting Aquileia and Sveta Gora. It is divided into four stages and marked with the symbol of Solomon’s knot. The final stage includes the ascent from Solkan to the summit.

Path of the Three Sanctuaries
This 34 km route connects three important pilgrimage sites into a unique “triangle”: Sveta Gora, Marijino Celje on the Kanalski Kolovrat ridge, and Castelmonte (Stara Gora) above Cividale in Italy. The hike from Sveta Gora to Lig (Marijino Celje) takes approximately 10–11 hours and offers beautiful views of the Soča Valley.

Trail of Saint Martin
Part of the wider European St. Martin’s Route from Szombathely in Hungary, where Saint Martin was born, to the city of Tours in France where he is buried. This 260 km trail encircles the Vipava Valley and extends to Aquileia. It also passes over Sveta Gora and overlaps in parts with the Gorizia Camino.

The Walk of Peace
Sveta Gora is crossed by the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic, which links First World War heritage sites. The mountain features open-air museums, tunnels, and trenches. Particularly popular is the marked 260-meter-long underground tunnel beneath the summit, partially equipped with a steel cable.

Ursula’s Trail
A circular thematic trail from Grgar to Sveta Gora, dedicated to Urška Ferligoj from Grgar. According to tradition, on a Saturday in June 1539, while tending sheep, she experienced an apparition of the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus. A church was soon built on this site, which expanded over the centuries into a major pilgrimage center.

Old pilgrimage path
A classic footpath from Solkan that winds along the slope and avoids the main asphalt road. Along the way are Stations of the Cross, accompanying pilgrims to the basilica.

Trench and cavern trail
A specific historical route focused on the remains of the Isonzo Front. It leads through numerous military tunnels and caverns, including the longest 260-meter tunnel, which ends above Grgar and below Frančišek Hill.

St. Jacob’s Trail
Although the main branch of the Slovenian Way of St. Jacob does not pass directly over the summit, there are local pilgrimages connecting the Nova Gorica co-cathedral with the Sveta Gora basilica.
