Step into History
Beneath our hill lies a silent witness of the past.
Carved into the rock during the First World War, these caverns once sheltered soldiers, stored supplies, and formed part of a hidden frontline world.
Today, they remain raw and largely untouched.
This is not a museum. This is a place you enter, walk through, and experience directly.
What we do
We guide participants through the WW1 caverns and surrounding landscape to create a hands-on historical experience.
- Guided walk through original WW1 caverns
- Stories and context about life during the war
- Connection to the surrounding hill and its strategic role
- Short moments of discussion and reflection along the way
The focus is on experience, understanding, and presence, not passive listening.
Why this is valuable
This is not a traditional history lesson.
It is an experience where history becomes something you move through, not just something you read about.
During the visit, participants:
- gain a clearer sense of how landscape and terrain shaped life during wartime
- experience history as something physical and real, not distant or abstract
- learn to observe and read the environment in a more attentive way
- spend time together in a setting that naturally encourages conversation and shared experience
- step away from screens and into a real, physical environment for a while
In essence, it is about shifting history from something “told” to something briefly “lived”.This experien
